Ours is a story that began with a little help from our moms—and a decades-old friendship. In March 2023, a mutual friend of our mothers thought we might just get along, and they were absolutely right. Emmanuel reached out to Victoria with what she would later describe as a "dry joke," but it was just intriguing enough to spark her curiosity. That first message led to daily FaceTime calls, long conversations, shared laughs, and an instant sense of something special. Though separated by distance—Emmanuel in Winnipeg and Victoria in New York—our bond grew stronger every day. In May 2023, we met in person for the first time when Emmanuel flew to New York. That weekend was magical. We explored the city, laughed nonstop, and deepened our connection. Emmanuel was immediately drawn to Victoria's radiant smile and warm spirit, and by the end of the trip, he asked her to be his girlfriend. She said yes.

Since then, our relationship has been the most effortless part of our lives. That ease comes from something simple but rare—our core values are perfectly aligned. Our relationship is rooted in mutual love, respect, and most importantly, God. Through every moment, we've found in each other a partner who shares the same vision, the same heart, and the same unwavering commitment to faith and to each other.
